Necromunda Underhive

Last year was a very strange and difficult year for me.
I started counselling for my numerous issues.
My granddad passed.
This brings emotions to the surface just mention it.
I was in a relationship with an woman that was unhealthy for me mentally which made my depression worse.
I was't as close as I should have been with my granddad but that's just how it was.
My granddad passed on the 2nd of December, I was at the Recon war games show in Pusey.
while I was there I had picked up the box set and a box of Goliath and Escher. 

The background to the game has been revisited and reworked a in place Necromunda is now not the only hive on the world.
The genesteler cults are now back in as a free download from games workshop
Chaos cults are now in as of an issues of white dwarf.
So are bounty hunter gangs so you can create your own gangs form all the figures and agien this was a white dwarf release.

There has been a lot of support for the game and I believe that there will be a lot more to come,
as we still have one more major house gang to be released as of yet.

So having not long given all my old metal Escher away I decided to start afresh.
I deiced to have a chat with a friend of mine at my war games club she had decide to do the escher and had take up the carrion queens form the starter set so I did Goliath.

You need the instructions to assemble the models the first time so don't throw then away.

This is the iron lords as it stands form the base game. each one has a different colour base to help with the cards and a letter on the back to help as well.

This is first 3 additional guys i made to play with each armed with combat shotguns cos Goliath cant aim for toffee.

For now that's your lot.

Been a while agien

Its finaly time i dusted off my keyboard and started posting in this blog of mine

today we have a painting lesson for a little student of mine Vampire Hunter D 

a few years ago VHD came to are gaming club and I gave her an introduction in to 40k I have made friends with her family and still chat to them now.

VHD has mastered the basics of painting block colours

the above is block work one color nothing else

 this is a layer the edges show the original colour so base + layer

 this is base, layer +layer 2 this creats shade with out inks.

be prepered to remove parts you glued on 

 the finished marien befor inkwash

 the ink wash

 this is now ink washed with a sepia ink so you can see shade

It's been a While due to poor mental health a combination of real life and a general lack of interest I haven't been at my painting desk other then to finish off my friends roman army,

What has inspired me to get back to the blog and and war gaming again ?
I invited a friend over to play some games weather board games or computer games me sonic(until am allowed to use his real name) had a chat, he played fallout new Veges and I painted in that time between showing him were shit is on a keyboard and painting my 28mm gangster I manged to finish off that project I actually had a bit of a shock to my self when I realised they were now finished paint wise at least need to do some thing about the base's but I will work that out soon.

form finish them i deiced its time to finish projects that I have started but never got round to finishing so here is my 15mm samurai

The idea is to have all this finished and based by next week.

just a badly spelt update

It has been a bit of a roller coaster of a last few months between battling my depression, my 30th birthday and my granddad passing just this Saturday passed its been up and down my head as you can imagine has been up my rear end.

so whats happened on the wargaing front, 

well for my 30th birthday we played The Chicago way by Great Escape Games basically the same rules as dead mans hand new gangs and new playing cards and rules for driving which was a bit hard to get your head around at first.

complete forgot to take pictures for this one. sorry guys 

apparently I did well for running my first game it fried my head something rotten but it was good fun.

I have also spent a week building my Wild west city/town 

 

 

The buildings are foam board covered in balas wood ideas all come form the Terrian tutor form youtube.

so my projects that i am on with currently the new necrounda and andys romans all which have to be done by end of this month i think give me a time scale best get cracking

 

The Other Partisan

So this Sunday 20/8/17 I was with the club demonstrating Lion Rampant with a crusader game.

This is us setting up the table for the participation game of lion rampant

After a quick look at the table The Sapper decides to shoot off and grab some more terrain from other company.

Are table after The Sapper went and got some new bits.

Here is the lads demoing a game sadly the crusaders got it handed to them in all 3 games they played due to having a hard army to use.

What else was on at the show 

this one stands out for me as its a 40mm game

curse of dead mans hand by great escape games.

there was some beautiful stuff to see
